Section : Penalty for tampering with register mark

25. Penalty for tampering with register mark. (1) Whoeverremoves, alters, defaces, renders invisible or otherwise tampers withthe register number marked on a boiler in accordance with theprovisions of this Act or any Act repealed hereby, shall be punishablewith fine which may extend to five hundred rupees. (2) Whoever fraudulently marks upon a boiler a register numberwhich has not been allotted to it under this Act or any Act repealedhereby, shall be punishable with imprisonment which may extend to twoyears, or with fine, or with both.
