SECTION 53: POWER OF PRESIDENT TO REMOVE DIFFICULTIES

(1) If any difficulty arises in relation to the transition from the provisions of any law repealed by this Act or in giving effect to the provisions of this Act and in particular in relation to the constitution of the Legislative Assembly, the President may by order do anything not inconsistent with the provisions of the Constitution or of this Act which appear to him to be necessary or expedient for the purpose of removing the difficulty: Provided that no order under this sub-section shall be made after the expiry of three years from the date of constitution of the first Legislative Assembly.

(2) Every order made under sub-section (1) shall be laid before each House of Parliament.
