Section : PROVISION REGARDING FINE

SECTION 18: PROVISION REGARDING FINE

- Notwithstanding anything contained in section 29-of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, it shall be lawful for a metropolitan magistrate or a magistrate of the first class to pass a sentence of fine exceeding five thousand rupees authorised by this Act or the regulations on any person convicted of any offence thereunder.
