Section : Searches and copies of entries in register books

25. Searches and copies of entries in register books.- (1) Every Registrar of Births and Deaths shall, on payment of the prescribed fees, at all reasonable times, allow searches to be --------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Ins. by Act 9 of 1911, s. 2. 2. Subs. by the Adaptation of Laws (No. 2) Order, 1956, for "Part A States or Part C States". 3. Sub-section (2) rep. by the A.O. 1950. 4. The proviso to sub-section (2) of s. 24, ins. by Act 38 of 1920, s. 2 and Sch. I, rep. by the A. O. 1937. 14 made in the register books kept by him, and give a copy of any entry in the same. (2) Every copy of an entry in a register book given under this section shall be certified by the Registrar of Births and Deaths, and shall be admissible in evidence for the purpose of proving the birth or death to which the entry relates.
