An Act further to amend the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947, andthe Industrial Employment (Standing Orders) Act, 1946, and to repealthe Industrial Disputes (Appellate Tribunal) Act, 1950Be it enacted by Parliament in the Seventh Year of the Republic of India as follows :-

SECTION 01: SHORT TITLE AND COMMENCEMENT

(1) This Act may be called the Industrial Disputes (Amendment and Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1956.

(2) It shall come into force on such date or dates as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint and different dates may be appointed for different provisions of this Act.
