Section : Title, extent and saving

1. Title, extent and saving.-(1) This Act may be called thePartition Act, 1893; (2) It extends to the whole of India 1*[except the State of Jammuand Kashmir] 2***. 2* * * * * I (4) But nothing herein contained shall be deemed to affect anylocal law providing for the partition of immovable property payingrevenue to Government.
