Lawsuits and Settlements
1992 (First Lawsuit): Rose was sued for $210,000 in damages by an audience member whom he attacked during the Riverport Riot in St. Louis, Missouri. The case was settled out of court for $160,000.
1993: Rose sued former girlfriend Stephanie Seymour, claiming that she assaulted him at a Christmas party in 1992.
Seymour filed a countersuit, alleging assault and battery by Rose. Both lawsuits were eventually settled out of court, where Axl Rose had to pay $1 million for false allegations.
1994: Rose’s ex-wife, Erin Everly, filed a suit accusing him of physical and emotional abuse throughout their relationship.
