Mike Nellis, known for his work in digital campaigning and as a co-founder of Authentic Campaigns, has publicly discussed his struggles with mental health, particularly in response to online harassment and political scrutiny.
Mike has struggled with obesity, which led to severe depression. His weight issues and the stigma around them worsened his mental health, making him feel isolated and hopeless.
To manage his condition, Mike takes sertraline for depression and metformin for weight-related issues. He sought treatment at Cedar Grove Mental Health Center, where he received therapy, nutritional counseling, and medication management to support his recovery.
Mike Nellis has been open about his mental health challenges, including suicidal ideation, which he mentioned in response to online attacks and political controversies. This openness came to light especially after he faced significant online criticism and trolling.
Donโt be surprised if @MikeNellis, the business partner of Loren Merchan, who was just subpoenaed by the @JudiciaryGOP, makes up a story about having a mental health emergency on 9/12/24, the day before heโs supposed to report for his Congressional subpoena.

Mike Nellis, a Democratic operative and co-founder of Authentic Campaigns, was subpoenaed by the House Judiciary Committee, led by Rep. Jim Jordan, in August 2024.
This subpoena was part of an investigation into potential conflicts of interest related to the hush money trial of former President Donald Trump, where Judge Juan Merchan, whose daughter Loren Merchan works at Authentic Campaigns, presided.
Nellis publicly criticized the subpoena, labeling it as an “abuse of power” and aimed at promoting a “baseless right-wing conspiracy theory.”
