On last Saturday, me and my girlfriend got caught making out in car. Apparently someone complained about us and a patrol police car came and told us to get out of the car and go to the police station. We begged and he said let's go to relatively quiet area and not go to the station. We went there and he took out ID'S and wrote them down and took out signatures. He said he'd settle this in 5800 and we agreed, too scared about the whole situation. Did we get scammed or this is a deserved outcome?

Was any receipt issued for the money given?
In all probability, NO. So the issue is sttled on the money given/taken.

The police can book you under a nuisance case or brothel prohibition case.
But they let you off by taking bribe.
So there should not be any problem.
Better be careful next time.
