Adjournments due to lack of time in child abuse case

I had filed a case against a mother for child abuse u/s 23 JJ Act. The child has been called 3 times to court thru summons for cross examination and sits whole day in court. Yet the judge always gives a new date giving reason that previous years cases should be heard first and by then the court time is over. Also dates are given after 2 months. This is causing unecessary duress to the child and she is more and more unwilling to come to court. She is prime witness in the case. What can be done so that judge does allows her cross examination at next date. Is there any judgement that cross should be done on same day when witness is present in court?
