Appeal case in sessions court against acquittal

For filing an appeal Case in Sessions Court against acquittal  from JMFC(Trial) Court, is it mandatory to take leave of High Court as per Section 378(3) of CrPC.

Prakashji, Thanks for your quick response. Can u elaborate why so, since Section 378(3) clearly states, for filing appeal, the leave of High Court to be taken. It does not specify filing of appeal in Sessions specifically
