I bought a flat and registered under the names of myself & my father. Due to an ongoing family tussle, I want to attain sole ownership of the flat. My father is ready to sign any legal documentation to forego his right to the flat. How can I achieve this - deed of assignment or sale deed? What will be the charges? Some one told me that I will have to pay the stamp duty and registration charges again. Is this true?
