Cooperativ bank loan

I TOOK MEMBERSHIP OF SOME SAHKARI SANSHTA  (COOPERATIVE SOCIETY) 20 -25 YEARS BACK. I THINK I HAVE DEPOSITED 1000-1500 CASH AND A LOAN OF RS 5000 WAS RECORDED AS TAKEN BY ME.  THE SANSTHA NEVER CONTACTED ME SINCE THAN AND I ALSO NOT.

SOME ONE FROM SANSTHA PHONED ME TODAY THAT THERE IS RS 95000 OUTSTANDING ON MY NAME.

NOW I AM 500 KMS AWAY FROM INDORE. I HAVE TOLD THAT I SHALL CONTACT THE SANSTHA AFTER 15 DAYS.

AM I BOUND TO DEPOSIT RS 95000 NOW ?

No not at all.if legal notice is issued against you ask them the set of copies of original documents with society.

its a time barred liability ...don't worry. do not give them anything in writing. make those criminals run for some time :).
