False complaint filed against me, for flat purchase token

Dear All,

My father (Age 64) owns a property(Flat) purchased in 2009 outside boundiers of Mumbai. Presently we all stay in mumbai. We were planning to sell that flat. We almost finalised deal with one person for sale. then we issued letter to Society asking for NOC for this sale, mentioning Name of buyer and approximate sale price which is as per RR value of this area. Along with our letter to society, Buyer also issued letter to society specifying his willingness to purchase. It was decided that no money transactions to be done unless society issues NOC.

Few days after before society could issue NOC, we decided to stop process and not to continue with this deal, due to some personal reasons (That we may need that flat for future and we may shift to that location). This was communicated to buye, We also issued letter to society to stop NOC procedings.

Buyer was not happpy he wanted that flat on any case. He filed false complain in local police station, that we have taken token amount from him and now not selling that flat. in actual no token amount was taken. He has no evidance or not even a single page (Bayan pavati) signed by us. We had been called by local police, We have informed them in written that this is false we have not taken any token. also we are not selling flat to anyone now. Now police have called both parties face to face for discussion. Kindly Guide what could be the consequences further and what actions we have to take.

Thanks in advance.
