Paternity leaves during notice period

Hi,

Can we avail paternity leaves while we are serving notice period. The company policy does not expllicitly specify anything on this. It just says "...... are elgible while maintaining continuity of service....".

Does this mean I cannot be be on Notice Period for availing paternity leaves?

Could someoone brief on this.

Eligibiltiy/entitlement of Leave during notice period is not ended.

Notice period is period for exit formalities and handover.

If there is anything pending enmployer may ask to extend notice period proportionately.

Thank you kumar, It actually says...." are elgible while maintaining continuity of service during the period of paternity leave" Because depending on that i may have to decide to resign. So please guide.
