Property issue

After my grandfather died in 1996, my uncle's and father got there inheritance share via panchayat in the same year. my elder uncle (who died in 2004) sold all of his share to my father in 1996, and the property is now in my father's name and he is taking care of it .My elder uncle's son has now stated that he will not accept his father's sales and wants his share in the property ( in the name of inheritance and right of grandson in the property of grandfather)

Please advise on what to do in this situation.

Was the property ancestral in the hands of the late grandfather? Who were his legal heirs?

"After my grandfather died in 1996, my uncle's and father got there inheritance share via panchayat in the same year"! The arrangement does not constitute proper partition of property.

Yes this property is ancestors, after my grandfather's death in 1996 his 3 sons ( legal heirs) distributed the property. All 3 got there shares and one of my uncle sold his share to my father .My father has been taking care of property for 25 years ( can we consider it as adverse possession) ?

Just because the property is ancestral, it need not be anestral. The question is the grandfather's title to property. Please post complete facts.

Other than the three sons, are there any legal heirs including sisters.

Sir we are muslims , my grandfather had 2 wifes , after death of 1st wife he married second.

1st wife (  1 son ( who expired in 2004)

2nd wife ( 2 sons, 2 daughters). Daughters were not interested in agriculture land and demanded for money instead( which was paid ).

Note : my grandfather got his property from his father.
