Quitting job in probation period

Hi,

I left the job within probation period, I had send resignation mail to my employer saying that I want to resign due to personal reasons and gave them 1 day as notice period.

I worked only 3 weeks after joining and i quit the company.

now company is telling that resiging in probation period without notice perioed it attracts cost.

should I pay to compay ?

The notice period is part of service conditions that are governed by various enactments applicable to establishment and employee.

Has any appointment letter been isued to you and accepted by you?

What is the notice period stated in it?

Even Bond, cheque may not neccessarily pose any issues.

No, I didn't sign appointment letter and not provided cheq ao far..

Is it stated to you in writing?

Ask them to supply by Redg. Post the;

acknowledgment and acceptance of resignation,service certificate,relieving letter, correct FnF statement,Form16 as per correct FnF statement,PF number and a/c slip, ESIC card..........NDC/NOC etc etc................so as to reach you within say next 7 days.Mention that NO tasks were ever pending at your end and NO assets are with you to handover ( if true).

Termination of employee or resignation of employee during the probationary period is in terms of the conditions laid down in the appointment letter.
