It is always advisable to get the agreement registered, not only for posterity but even for stressing your rights, seeking redressal in case builder does not adhere to the terms of handing over possession on time. It is quite usual with the builders to delay the projects and divert the money deposited by the purchasers. It is in your interest to get the agreement registered.
