Sale Deed - Different dates

i plan to purchase a land near by porur, but the sale deed dated year back 1991 is having 3 different date of purchase of stamp papers more over final stamp where schedule propert is mentioned is not having the seal of the stamp vendor.

date of registration - 18/01/91

first stamp paper for 2000 rs - 27/11/90

2nd / 3rd / 4th / 5th / 6th - 40 rs stamp paper - dated 13/01/91

7th (last one) - 10 rs - dated 4/1/91 (no seal on this)

how do we believe this sale deed, as per the seller he mentioned the date is before the registration date so no problem. please advice.

Take the opinion of regsitrar and act accordingly.

There is no bar in stamps and registration act that the stamp papers need to be in serial nos or purchased on the same date, however apply for a certified copy of the sale deed and verify with the registation office, before closing the deal certain precautions must be taken.

Vishal has given the right advice. Later purchase of stamp papers of much lesser denomination endorse the need for exact value of stamp papers required and there is nothing illegal about it. So enjoy your piece of mind.

NOTHING WRONG IN USING DEF. DENMS/ DEF DATED S.PS , FIRST GET A CERTFIED COPY OR GO FOR THE LEGAL OPINION AND GENERAL SEARCH BY AN ADVOCATE
