Amenities for a rented flat

Isn't car parking space a part of rent and maintenance for the flat?  I did not even inquire regarding this during the agreement since I could  not imagine that  parking space and flat would be rented out separately. My landlord simply said that it is common every where not to provide the parking space as part of rent and maintenance. Is this correct? If not, is there any thing that can be done?

It is a common practice to reserve separate rent for the parking or to cover the same as a part of rent, during the negotiation process. However, if the agreement does not include, you need to have a separate agreement. Or else, the Society should be having some open parking on monthly charges - u may check this out.

Vinay Sir, I tis a common practice that flat and parking space are rented seperately. As Vasudevan sir has advised, you may get another agreement for car parking now. Parking and maintenance amount are collected seperately apart from rent of apartment.
