Aop non-profit but not charitable

To form an association of persons which will act as a professional community for regular meetings and knowledge advancement. Its a not for profit association, but its not a charitable organistaion also. my question being what are the ways to go about it, if i have to legally register it.

1.  IF it is ONLY for "regular meetings and knowledge advancement",  THEN there is no need to register any AOP or Trust or Society.  It can be done under an ordinary banner.


2.  AOP (Trust) can be registered from the charity commissioners office or the local relevant competent authority.
