Bar Exam for Advocates Practicing License - Right or Wrong??

How much the Government want to bother the Lawyers while the Governemnt doesn't providing any pension, income, gratutity to the private lawyers. How much steps a person will ascend till it reaches to become lawyer ? First conduct a Bar Exam for Politicians who just digging the nation for thier vote bank for joining the party symbol everlastingly with the.  Time is valuable in life , money is valuable in life then why waste time and money on formality of the BAR EXAM's.

Don't copy about richest Americans who conduct a Bar Exam for legal practice after Doctrate of Law .

Instead of imposing the lawyers with such fruitless competitive exams, Government should create more posts in the judiciary and engage these lawyers to dispose off lakhs and lakhs of  pending cases in the country.  Lok Adalats, DRTs, Ombudsman and all quasi judicial bodies are deprived wih quality advocates.  Eligibility norms and fair recruitment process through competitve exams is the need of the hour.

I dis agree with the view . If this happen, if major amendments happen like amendment in C.P.C, 2002, then what the  Bar council will do?

will it direct all the advocates to write exams?

Any advocate who is proficient will all the rudimentary aspects of law will never find it difficult to get through such competitive exams.  Common friends gear up for the challenge.

Hi nice to see both sides of a case.  I too believe that a BCI should accredit reputed institutions based on various criteria and infrastructure.  People who pass from others who do not qualify should take a common written test. 

This will on one hand uplift the quality of  education, and at the same time will enable others who can be  quality professionals also to vie for qualifying.

For Eg, one can choose a reputed institute to study and equal opportunity is given for others from other institutes to also qualify through learning process and by going through apprenticeship with good advocates.

all the views are ok but at the same time we have to think about the students and some are like to practice after their retirement of service from govt sector too. The 5 years students are already spend time of  stipulated period of 5 years and further one year they need to wait for enrolment after exams.

some good students are achieved good marks in good manner and they may be perform this exam badly or achieve poor mark , then what is the fate of their life for that 6 month . so govt ment should think and plan to implement the rules henceforth and subsequent .

apartfrom this indirectly raise the question of creditability of our education standard of system.

If we have to appear for another exam for employment than why study for 3 to 5 years in an educational institution when we can simply appear for this selection test and get the license. No use of the degree without license. And this sort of selection test should be done before the student apply for the course and not after completion. 

And why only fresh grads should appear for the exam, to make it even and fair for all ... every advocate should give this exam , in a way to rise the standard of practicing law in India...
