My wife married me in the year 2014 and she went to her boyfriend in the USA in the year 2015. My wife married again to her boyfriend in 2019 and got registered for her 2nd marriage.
In the year 2020, she only filed diverse against me by hiding her 2nd marriage.
Can we take cognizance against 2nd husband,2nd husband parents, and her parents in a bigamy case? If so how?

Hi,
Mere participation in the second marriage would not ipso-facto makes the relatives/ guests attending the marriage laible for abetment to bigamy. Abetment connotes an active suggestion or support to the commission of an act. This proposition was held valid by the Delhi High Court in the case of Dr. Manju Verma. v State of UP & Anr.
