a lawyer told my relative in my town that even after receiving lumpsum alimony, wife can claim monthly maintenance.
do u think the lawyer is trying to make a fool of her ,so that he can drag the maintenance case for his self intrest ?

TO ANSWER THIS QUESTION, FIRST IT IS TO BE SEEN "WHAT ARE THE CONDITIONS OF SETTLEMENT BETWEEN THE COUPLE. IS IT MENTIONED IN THE SETTLEMENT THAT "IT IS FINAL ALIMONY AND WIFE WILL NOT BE ENTITLED TO ANY MAINTENANCE IN FUTURE" ?
