Can we have woman with thumb impression as witness for property registration?

Hi! Thanks for the question!
The matters related to properties come under the section 17 of Registration Act 1908. If the person is not educated enough or able to sign a piece of paper, thumb impression is accepted and is as valid as a signature, be it a man or a woman.
