Question: Shutting off stretcher lift for lowering the electricity bill, is it allowed?
Details: Dear Sir,

We stay in housing society in which builder has given 2 lifts, one small and one stretcher lift. Small lift is really very small and does not have much capacity. The building has 11 floors with 4 flats on each floor.  The chairman and committe members are adamant upon restricting the use of second lift (stretcher lift plus fireman lift) with time slot to reduce the electricity charges. I am requesting them to keep both the lifts on to avoid any delay while having medical emergencies or other emergencies as every minute is precious during life saving activity. I want to know if I am right in my approach and what is the way in which we can approach federation if the managing committe is not ready to understand the concern.

Communicate in writing under proper acknowledgment narrating all previous representations.

If required with copy to registrar.

Later it shall be a matter on record and of help.
