Director's personal liability under industrial disputes act

There is an ex party decree issued by labour court, against FACTORY MANAGER of the company. The factory was shut down 8 yrs ago and sold out 7 yrs ago. There is no business of the company anymore. I am receiving notices for BAJAWARI addressed to FACTORY MANAGER, company's name, factory address, MALIK my name at my home address which was earlier used as correspondence address of the company.

There is no MALIK of any factory manager or even a company. I was only a Director. Company which has no assets/business at all.

I believe I am not personally liable for this decree (for wages in lieu of restoration of a worker with wages since 2000). Kindly give me strong citiations. My lawyer friend is not soundiing confident of being able to get my name discharged, and hence, I need some more expert help.

Thanking you,

Learning
