Union of India6, while directing Indian Airlines to provide concessions for passengers suffering from locomotor disability, the Supreme Court held that the true spirit and object of the Act is to create a barrier-free environment for PWDs and to make special provisions for the integration of persons with disabilities into the social mainstream.
