Select another sincere professional advocate and entrust the case to him.  The information available with him is held in a fiduciary capacity and disclosing to others, threatening clients is unethical on part of the advocate.  One can not fight with each and everyone, in specific with professionals that know our secrets.  The final course is making a complaint before the Bar Council of India, New Delhi online.

Immediately change the lawyer and if the threat still persists then a complaint can be submitted to the bar council agaisnt the advocate.

Hello! If any advocate is threatening his client, he is liable for professional misconduct as he is diverting from the rules laid down by Bar Council and portraying unprofessional behavior. Section 35 of the Advocates Act, 1961 lays down the provisions for punishment of an advocate who is found guilty of professional misconduct. The client can complain to the respective Bar council about the actions of the accused advocate and a disciplinary committee is formed to hold the proceedings and judge whether an advocate is guilty of professional misconduct. If he is found guilty, then Section 35 of the Act lays down the following punishments: Reprimand the advocate Suspend him from practice for a period deemed fit or Remove the name of the advocate from the State roll of advocates Regards Vasundhara Singh

Report the matter to concerned State Bar Council against the lawyer for taking appropriate disciplinary action as per law.

Meanwhile relieve and change the lawyer.
