Legal heirs in mother's self acquired property

Dear All,

I searched the forum but could not get anything that is similar to my situation now. Hence posting this question

1) There is a property in my mother's name (Self acquired property)and my mother passed away in 2007

          a. There is no will left

2) The property is still in her name

3) In 2008 my father did second marriage

4) Now father also passed away without leaving any will

Now who has claim on my mother's property (We are 2 brothers and 1 sister)

My stepmother ? or 3 children?

What I understand is  the property will get divided in four parts 1 each for 3 children and my father

Again  my father's part will further get divided in four parts 3 children and 1 second wife of my father

Am I right?

Please help
