Life time vehicle tax

Hi,

I have registered my vehicle and paid life time road tax in one state.  I have paid life time road tax in another state as well.  Now I want to take my vehicle back to the state where I have registered my vehicle.  Can I get the tax refund from the state where I have not registered my vehicle?  Is Tax refund rule is common across the states? or each state has its own rule?

Regards,

You have to see the motor vehicle rule of that state where you have taken the vehicle after its registration. Generally, the tax are non refundable and even if it is refundable , practically it is very difficult to get therefund.
