My Husband was working in UAE in 2008 . He had taken a loan from the bank in dubai and was making the timely payment of EMI . But in 2010 due to global financial crisis he lost his job and came back to india. We are not in a position to repay the loan back as we are from the lower Income group . We have started receiving harrasment calls from some person from delhi who claims that he is the recovery agent for the bank and he is a police officer . He uses offensive and abusive language and states that he will sue the property. We do not own any property and stay in a rented apartment. We are not in a condition as of now to repay the loan. What are the legal proceedings which bank can follow to collect the debts. Please help and let me know how can i resolve this matter.
