Mnc not issuing reliving letter

Hi,

I have submitted a experience letter which includes my contracting and full time employment with X and but X employment being only 3 yrs full time the dates mentioend in the letter were wrong on this grounds I am terminated from the MNC and this is after 16 months of working.

Initially I had emails from HR but later on the case was rested out for do not know what reason again from early Jan 2012 I was asked for many proofs whih I have submitted and nevertheless I have also agreed that the letter which I gave was with contracting and fulltime and it is the letter I got from my sub contracting company in USA.

I was TOP Rated in the company and they recently gave me a hike and right after that they have terminated me saying letter is wrong dates and according to some index my salary is high, and this is after 17 months working and contributions and working days and nights and being top rated in company.

HR Person said she will help me the closure of the process, I was okay as mistake is my letter with dates wrong, but now they are saying they will not even give me a reliving letter.

Company is Capgemini India Pvt Ltd

What are my options to proceeed legally - will I get 3 months salary as I am terminated

Can a back ground check process take place for 16 months and after me being top rated and after increment I get into this trouble ?

pls advise

Thanks

back ground checks are a continuing process in mnc, it  is only a matter of time. however u have not mentioned about the terms and conditions in your appointment letter with regards to termination notice period and compensation if any available.
