Regarding property registration

Hi Sir/Madam,

We have agricultural property near Hosur, Krishnagiri district and we are not getting slots in Hosur sub registrar from last 2 months for property registration and we are frustated, can we try to register the property at district registrar or Inspector General of registration (Chennai)?

Is that a possibility?

A district registrar can entertain a property registration if a sub-registrar is not available:

If a sub-registrar is absent or their office is vacant, the district registrar can appoint someone to act as the sub-registrar.

If a document is not presented for registration within four months of its execution, it can be presented to the district registrar within another four months. The district registrar can grant permission to register the document and may impose a penalty of up to ten times the registration fees.

The document can be presented to the sub-registrar within eight months.

You can go to another Sub Registrar's office and present the document "under anywhere" option in your district.  You can log in to Registration Stamps of Chennai to book your slot.
