Rights of pattedar

Dear Expert!

Son is the Pattedar of the Land.

Father had sold the land to B  in 60's without  consent of his son. son is the pattedar in rervenue records till today.

As pattedar, son sold a plot as his right in that land which is in his possession since 16 years. Remaing total Land was sold by  B.

Is there any Legality in son's transaction.

the pattedar in my state (HP) is a sort of grant/lease given to person by the provincial govt and it requires periodical renewal as per trems and conditions and the the pattedar cannot become the owner its status is thus reflected as such in possessory column as pattedar and in ownership column the name of the provinical govt is shown. lets see what other members say their cannot be any transfer of ownership rights

Patta (urdu word)=lease

It is not given by Govt. It is ancestral with full rights.
