seperation from family

hello everyone,

I am new here.

I am from the scheduled tribe(vaghri) cast.

I have done MBA.

I am tired of my cast's restrictions.I want to get seperated from my family.

is there any option to do so?I dont want to leave more with my family.they are not ready to leave me.

I want to get seperated in such a way that they couldnt interfere in my personal life in any way.

the option of getting seperated should be other than marrying someone.

please reply to my query.

thanks & regards,

kamla sathwara.

if your age is 18 years or more, no one can  legally compel you  to live with him. even your parents can not .

if anyone forces you otherwise, you can take help of police and if police does'nt protect you , you can approach to high court for a direction to police to ensure that no one is harassing you.

I do agree with my  friend Dr. V.N. Tripathi.

hello sir,

thanks a lot for the reply.

I am 23 years old...

so what can be the procedure to be seperated?

I have heard that we have to make a complaint to the police.

or is there any other options available?

law can not prescribe any procedure for living independently.

you can lodge a complaint if any body disturbs your privacy and independence.

In India you inherit the caste status only by birth. So, I assume that you do not want to get rid of your caste but you want to live seperately from your family.

Being an adult you are entitled to live seperately and you can force your family not to disturb your peaceful existence and for this purpose you can take a judicial decree from a competent civil court. If any other thing happens like misbehaving or threatening or physical assault, you can take the help of police.

hello sir/madam,

my family will not let me go whatsoever.

so is it fare to run away from home?

your question has been properly solved. now, do you want that members of this forum to come to your home to explain you the law or to do somthing else for you?
