Translation of constitution to foreign languages.

Brother Advocates,

Translation of constitution of India to foreign language amounts to infringement of copyrights?

@Querist,

 

I don't think 'Constitution of India' is a copy-righted document.

 

Reason- COI itself is reflection of various other constitution of the world viz. UK,USA,Australia..... and so on..

Therfore,it can be safely said that it's not the pure product/outcome of any intellectual realization of idea. Even these words/articles/clauses and so on can be used by other countries too.

 

Thus,In it's bare form,it can be translated to any language.

yes the consitution of india is being taken from different countries and made it

but prior permission has to be taken from the press council of india
