Untrace report

My Car got stolen from faridabad in April 16, FIR done on same date, Till date I havent recieved the untrace report. Police telling that we have already sent it and awaiting it and will inform you once we get it. Till how long should I wait. Should I approach court directly? What all documents will be required and how long will it take from court to issue untrace report?

You can file petition for status report of your fir. There police will file status report.

But it could be pending from whom, Police or Court or higher officials (SP, DSP etc)? Is there any estimated time to which I should wait or go on for filing a petition. Which type of lawyer should I get in touch with?

You don't need to wait to file the petition in the magistrate court. Let the police come and file the expalantion. Lawyers who deal with traffic challan etc will be helpful for you.
