Will in respect of bank deposits

1.I have only bank deposits.I would like to make a will. Should this will also get necessarily probated when the time comes and should i necessarily appoint an executor for this purpose?

2.What is the time limit within which application for probation should be made to the court.

3.Can the cover containing the will be sealed with ordinary gum or should I have to use something like lac for this purpose.

Also can you suggest any lawyers in Chennai who can help me in this.

E&S, Former or Survivor bank a/c may suffice for your purpose.

Discuss in person with BM of your bank and your lawyer.

You may go thru:

Master Circular on Customer Service in banks

20.1 Accounts with survivor/nominee clause

20.2. Accounts without the survivor / nominee clause

For balance in deceased depositor accounts above the Min. Threshold limits banks may seek legal opinion and ask for documents/legal heir certificate which are lengthy procedure and cost is involved.

You may choose the option that is deemed most suitable by you at your end.
