On this day of 63rd Independence Day (2009)
Let us not forget great leaders
Like Mahatma Gandhi, Sardar Patel, Pandit Nehru
Who fought for the freedom of India
And soldiers known and unknown
Who lost their lives for freedom of India
And remember all freedom fighters
Especially unknown
Who preferred not to be in limelight
But did their job quietly
For free India.
Let us Salute all citizens
Who contributed in their own way
For freedom of India
Today we are Citizens of Free India
Just because of all these
Known and unknown Indians
Who fought and many lost their lives
For us to be called citizens of Free India
