TN is one of the attractive state in India for its infrastructure, govt. support, initial tax exemptions, cheap labor cost, logistics, pool of source, more and more. Global Industrialists are very keen to invest and establish their business avenue in Tamil Nadu. No one can deny the growth of the statement in terms of per capital income, standard of life quality, road and urban development, revenue to various government agencies etc.,

 

We should admit ourselves the positive side of the growth but in the same time we should not compromise when the foreign companies neglect  / disrespect to our customs, culture, laws, human value, relationships, religion and further more.

 

In our country there are many companies are willfully and deliberately neglecting the above highlighted captions. I can say one classic example that “ one of my friend working for the Korean company and shockingly told me when you are entering to the compound wall of our company, don’t think that our company is localized company as per India’s terms. This is the company managed by the Koreans like us and we will follow only our Korea customs and traditions. Don’t come and ask us leave for Elephant god birthday ( Ganesh Chathurthi ),  waste firing festival ( Bogi ) “ .

 

My friend totally fed up with his reply and astonished about their thinking about our traditions and cultures and he tried to convince and explained that if we are not follow statutory compliances the factory inspector will initiate legal proceedings on us. The Korean management simply laughed at him and their answer was we know the rate of your government servant, don’t try to threaten us in the name of statutory bodies.

 

Based on the reality my friend didn’t have a single word to argue and he simply came out.

 

Really we should ashamed ourselves for these, because the person who want to came to earn bun and butter for his survival ( foreigner ) criticize our religion and government mechanism, we are wordless to hear this non-sense. There are so many issues like this in many companies and our HR manager doesn’t know the way to teach them lesson and also they kept mum for the sake of sustaining.

 

There are lot of companies denying to follow our rules, regulations and laws with great help of government officials. Some of the companies are not even having license, basic facilities, employee’s safety, consent order etc., etc.  These facts are well know by the inspecting authorities but they will be chopped with sealed cover money and they are giving support to the evaders.

 

I would like to close this article with the conclusion of the evaders foreign companies should be locked with and the top officials visa / pass port to be cancelled and put them into prison and also their act of disobedience should be telecast globally vide media to sow the seed of  fear among the other foreign companies to respect our values.
