498a case appealing

Hi sir, My cousin had won the 498a case against her husband in lower court, after some days we came to know that he gone for appealing in higher court and got it closed without notice to us. Once we came to know that after 2 years we appealed in high court now. My lawyer saying we no need to come to court now after proceedings between lawyers and examining her husband you will get order ..Is tha true.
