Should the OBC certitificate obtained for the purpose of Central Govt. / Public Sector Jobs need to have the Father's name ? My BC certificate has my mother's name. So it will be easier for me to get an OBC certitificate with her name as my parent. Will that be a valid one? Or shoudl I get one with my Father's name. And is there any rule which specifically states that OBC certificate must have father's name and not in mother's name?

Will you please inform whether you inherited surname from your mother or father, and if all educational qualifications showed your father's name or mother's name, most importantly your birth certificate. Whether your father and mother belong to same backward class or your father belongs to Other classes (forward) ?
