As per your concern a conveyance deed is a legal document between a transferor and a transferee, which proves that a title or ownership in the property has been transferred from one person to another. It also informs that the property is free from any restrictions and disputes. If in case, there is no proper conveyance deed, the buyer will not have any legal right against the property. He cannot claim his ownership.
Thus, a conveyance deed is a must for any sale.

Down below is a list of DOCUMENTS THAT ARE REQUIRED FOR REDEVELOPMENT. In case you're up for redeveloping your old flat, make sure you have all the necessary documents such as:-
1. Society Registration Certificate,

2. Original Building Plan,

3. Conveyance Deed / Lease Deed / Sale Deed,

4. Copy of Resolution,

5. Documents/Deeds / Agreements etc. whatsoever in nature related to the Society's plot,

6. Property Card,

7. D. P. Remark,

8. Extract of 6/12, 7/12,

9. Search report and Title certificate,

10. Index II,

11. N. A. Order, and

12. City Survey Plan.

Henceforth, it is necessary to have a conveyance deed for an old flat when the building is about to go for redevelopment.

Hope It Helps!
