Probate Will Deed in AP

Dear Sirs,

Is it necessary to probate a WILL deed that has been executed by my Grandfather, in my favour who is his first grandson. My Grandfather is no more?

Also if i have to, is it necesary to produce death certificate of my Grandfather because i don't have it.
