You have signed a bond and your employer is a PSU, who never cares for litigation expenses. The duties you are handling at present, the immediate efforts for finding a substitute are also relevant. You can either orally seek information from personnel dept., or file RTI Application to PSU seeking information on such legal validity of the employment bond. There appears to be a genuine grievance that as the employment contract is for 5 years, the bond period should not be for six years. In view of the bond, it appears that your post involves a lot of training, specialization, and more skills. The simple solution is convincing superiors as your service certificate is more important.

The bond appers to be unconscionable. Moreover, the bond cannot be enforced unless the employer has imparted some specialised training incurring extra expenditure.

Since you have already served the PSU for 5 out of 6 years period of bond, remaining one year can be waived by the PSU. You should apply with a request for switching over for a better opportunity available, on humanitarian ground but not as a matter of right.
Otherwise you are required to honour your commitment or deposit the bond amount.
