hey...i would like to know if it is possible for a foreigner to purchase a fort in India and convert that into a hotel. are there any specific guidelines in force in connection with purchase of buildings such as forts and palaces by foreigners?
100 % FDI is permitted in hotle industry. In India so many palaces have been converted into star hotels and hence there is no bar for a foreigner to invest in such hotels.
