The court fee for a suit for partition, in common possssion, is only nominal.

It all depends on possession. If the plaintiff is in joint possession and claims as such the court fee in some states is Rs.200/- and when the plaintiff is not in possession the ad valorem court fees are collected on the market value of the property limited to the extent of the plaintiff share. The court fee for suit for partition is just nominal, you don't need to pay on valuation of property .
