Why do you consider lay men as without knowledge. All of us are laymen in some or the other fields. Although I feel that you are not qualified enough to appreciate a differing view, for the general knowledge of all those in this forum, here are some links (credible, not copy pastes from personal blogs) that talk about the harmful effects of radiation from cell phone towers... (of course advocates who are representing cell phone companies or their nominated people will continue to deny this)
Before this, lets remind ourselves that the issue is HIGHER levels of radiation from cell phone towers in India compared to admissible norms that are internationally followed...
American Cancer Society doesnt believe that cancer is possible through radiation BELOW A PERMISSIBLE LIMIT (which means there has to be a minimum criteria.. absent in India)

At one point, Cigarette companies used to flatly deny that smoking was injurious to health. And guess what, they even produced scientific studies from prestigious institutions to back their claims... Eventually sense prevailed and the trail of funding for research was unearthed...
Having a contrarian view about something is acceptable and healthy at times.... To imply that someone is a layman only because the opinion is contrary is the recourse of an incompetant lawyer. If radiation was indeed not harmful, there wouldnt be FCC mandated levels of radiation for cell phone towers...
