How to take pocession of property of my Great Grand Father

Hi All,

My great Grand father had made a will on his five grand sons to equally device the property and take pocession after his death.  This will is registrered and the same is available in the local registration office.  We are un-able to get the will from the office as they are asking to submit the copy of the Death certificate of the great grand father.  Will is registrered in the year of 1939 and the no one knows the year of death of the great grand father.  None among the five grand sons are alive now.  Please advice how shall I take the pocession of property belong to my father? (i.e. 1/5 of total property)  How shall I a get the will from the registering authority without death certificate?

I have an younger sister (Marriesd) and the widow mother is staying with me.  What is their share in the same property?

Regards

Ramesh

Sir,

Tanks for the reply.  We had approached the register office but are denying to give the copy of will without death certificate.  What is the procedure for applying for the copy?  Whom we need to approach?  local registering authority? or ??

If U fail in getting the copy of Will unofficially some how .the way out left is exhausting RTI applications.

get certified copy of the will from the concerned SRO and based on the same, make mutations in the title of property in your name and then proceed
